Come by train and get discount admission to SEA LIFE Porto.

SEA LIFE Porto is an aquatic park with about 30 tanks and about 5,600 marine creatures, divided into 12 different areas, from the fresh water of the Douro natural park to the Atlantic and the tropical seas and even some side tracks such as the Douro vine terraces, the historical D. Luís I bridge and the traditional frontages of the Ribeira.

The centre also has a classroom for school visits and an SOS area dedicated to animal protection and welfare all around the world.

Individual Clients

30% off the admission price if you show your Porto Urban Trains pass and receipt proving the validity of the pass or an Alfa Pendular or Intercidades ticket (travel date for the outward ticket and up until the return journey on a return ticket, at the Sea Life ticket office.

20% off admission price if you show your Siga card along with the respective receipt at the Sea Life ticket office, with the validity date on the date of the visit or within the validity period (up to 3 admissions).

Group Travel

Porto Urban Trains

Sea Life Porto and CP Porto Urban Trains have created a special programme for groups with a minimum of 10 paying visitors that includes:

Return journey on an urban train between any Porto Urban Train station and Porto São Bento;
Return bus journey from Oporto São Bento station to Sea Life Porto and back;
Visit to Sea Life Porto.

Conditions

The train journeys can be on any day of the week. There are no time restrictions at the weekends. Business days there are some restrictions at rush hour (contact the service for further details).
You must book with the Porto Urban Trains group service at least 5 business days in advance.
You pay at the Porto Urban Train ticket offices.

The discounts only apply to scheduled services.

Notes: * The journey between Porto São Bento and Sea Life Porto may be made on STCP buses. You must purchase an Andante card + 2 Andante Z2 tickets at a CP ticket office with Andante sales. Free (quantity discount): 1 free visit for every 10 paying visitors. Prices in euros inc. VAT.

Alfa Pendular and Intercidades

Price negotiated on a case by case basis depending on the number of people, date, time, route and kind of service, regular or special;
Available for minimum of 10 passengers;
The journey must be booked at least 10 days before the journey date.

Information about the visit

The free visit to Sea Life Porto includes:

Visit guide for schools;
Access to talks and animal feeding throughout the day;
Interactive experience at the rockpool (pools where you can stroke starfish and sea urchins).

Sea Life Porto opening hours:

Winter (1 September to 14 July)

From 10:00 to 18:00 weekdays
From 10:00 to 19:00 at the weekends

Summer (15 July to 31 August)

From 10.00 to 19:00 weekdays
From 10:00 to 20:00 at the weekends

Last entrance 45 minutes before closing time;
Open every day except Christmas day;
The ticket office closes at 15:15 on 24 and 31 December and the exhibition closes at 16:00.

How to get there

SEA LIFE Porto is in Praça Gonçalves Zarco right in front of Castelo do Queijo.

Take the train to Porto São Bento station.

Oposite the station catch STCP bus number 500 (Andante Z2 ticket), which runs along the bank of the Douro to Foz and stops at Castelo do Queijo, in front of SEA LIFE.
