CP Card
A practical way of keeping your train tickets and pass.
A CP Card is a personal, inalienable contactless card for Portuguese nationals and foreign nationals resident in Portugal. It lets you load various CP tickets at the same time, covering different routes and services depending on your requirements.

- You can load more than one CP transport ticket onto the same card;
- You can change the origin or destination of your CP Pass swithout having to change your card.

The 50% discount Goldeb card for retirees and pensioners is loaded onto the CP Card.
*The CP Card does not allow you to top up tickets from other transport operators. If you use the train and metro or bus, for example, you should opt for the Navegante Card. Holders of the Navegante card who wish to switch to the CP Card can only do so to top up CP Pass (1 or 2 zonae).
Passengers cannot use the same card to top up Lisbon and Porto Urban tickets.
Passengers can request a CP Card at any CP ticket office by presenting the following documents:
- Identification document (Identity Card/Portuguese Citizen Card, Passport) or Residence Authorisation (Tax Domicile Certificate issued on the tax authority portal; European Union Citizen Registration Certificate; Residence Authorisation issued by AIMA; or Residence Certificate issued by the Parish Council).
- 1 original colour passport photo.
- A completed application form;
- Specific documents must be submitted to top up the free Under-18 and Under-23 Young Student Pass.
The card will be delivered within a maximum of 15 (fifteen) working days from the date indicated on the application form or sent by post at the customer's request.
Available from the ticket offices at Lisbon Santa Apolónia Station, working days from 06h00-22h00.
The card will be delivered within 72 hours, on the third working day following the request.
