Porto urban train passes

These are valid for 7 days in a row counting with the 1st day they are valid as chosen when they are purchases.

These tickets can be bought up to 15 days in advance of when you want to start using them, from any ticket office that sells CP Porto urban tickets.

This ticket is composed of a plastic card that does not need to be validated and a receipt.

Customers with any kind of CP monthly pass can get a Weekly Pass without needing to get a new card.

If you have an Porto  urban trains monthly pass, you just need to travel 12 days and you are already ahead. You can buy a fixed pass (valid for a calendar month) or a flexible pass.. A flexible pass can be purchased any day of the month and it is valid until the day before the same day chosen for it to be valid, the next month.

These passes are sold from ticket offices and ticket vending machines and are loaded onto plastic cards that are personal and unalienable, which use contactless technology and that can be topped up with monthly passes or individual tickets.

These cards allow:
To alter the route without needing a new card.
Two consecutive months to and from the same or different places.
Recovery of your pass if the card breaks or is lost, if you can prove what you purchased, and just pay the cost of the new card.

Top up

You can top up the card at ticket offices or ticket vending machines.
Keep the receipt while the pass is valid.

The Andante 3Z/Municipal pass is valid for a set of zones (up to 3 zones) or Municipality, allowing to travel during the month for which it is purchased.

In the Porto Urban Trains, these passes are valid for the following routes:

- Porto São Bento «» Paramos

- Porto São Bento «» Paredes

- Porto São Bento «» Vila das Aves

They can also be used on Regional and InterRegional trains, on the routes for which they are valid. However, it is always compulsory to present on board the simplified receipt or proof of payment.

The pass can be loaded at Andante Stores, CP ticket offices with Andante sales, Payshop agents, airport tourism and terminals of private road operators and at the vending machines of the stations inserted in the Metropolitan Area of Oporto.

The Andante Metropolitano pass is valid throughout the Porto Metropolitan Area and allows you to travel during the month for which it is purchased.

On the Porto Urban Trains, these subscriptions are valid on the following routes:

• Porto São Bento <> Paramos
• Porto São Bento <> Paredes
• Porto São Bento <> Vila das Aves

It can also be used on Regional and InterRegional trains, on the routes for which it is valid. However, it is always compulsory to present the receipte or proof of top-up in transit.

Passes can be topped up at Andante shops, CP ticket offices with Andante sales, Payshop agents, the airport tourist office, Andante sales points in the municipalities and vending machines at stations in the Porto Metropolitan Area.

The Andante Família pass in force since 1 June 2020 is exclusive to households (minimum 3 members) with the same tax residence in one of the 17 municipalities in the Porto metropolitan area and is valid monthly, i.e. from the first to the last day of the month for which it was purchased.

Allocated to each member of the household, this pass allows each family to pay the equivalent of 2 Andante 3Z / Municipal passes - €60 or the equivalent of 2 Andante Metropolitano passes - €80.

To take advantage of the Andante Família membership, all members of the household (responsible applicant and other beneficiaries) must be holders of the Andante silver PVC card. Student silver cards (free pass for young students Under 18+TP and Student Under 23+TP) are not accepted. All household members must have the same type of pass.

You can sign up at Andante shops, CP ticket offices with Andante sales and Andante sales points in the municipalities, by filling in the application form and handing in the necessary documents.

Passes are topped up monthly and sold from the 25th.

The Andante Family Profile is awarded to the entire household for a period of 12 months, after which they will have to prove they are a beneficiary again.
